Casey is a native of Texas, and he is a proud graduate of East High School in Denver, Colorado. Before becoming a teacher, Casey worked as a lawyer, mainly serving Spanish-speaking immigrant communities. Among his biggest passions are travel and languages, having visited over 35 countries and having studied a number of languages to varying degrees. Casey taught English as a Second Language in China, New York, and Austin, Texas before moving to the New Orleans area. As JCFA’s Social Studies instructor, he seeks to instill in his students an international perspective in order to prepare them for an increasingly globalized economy.
