When the New Orleans Baby Cakes hosted Omaha’s Storm Chasers on April 27, the visiting team weren’t the only guests in attendance. JCFA’s Boys to Men Club, led by Mr. Kevin Glapion (JCFA-West, Math), watched the Omaha team out-hit the Baby Cakes 4-2 on a windy day at The Shrine on Airline.

JCFA Boys to Men Celebrate Mother’s Day
On Mother’s Day, members of the Boys to Men Club also showed their appreciation for the hardworking mothers among JCFA’s faculty and staff. The young men presented the ladies with roses, kind words, and smiles.
The Boys to Men club brings students together to focus on positive male role models. Membership is currently open to JCFA-West students.
Boys to Men’s school mentoring program is a community based mentoring model serving middle school boys age 11-14, and high school boys age 15-17 identified by school administration to be at-risk of educational failure, dropping out of school, juvenile delinquency or gang-related offenses.
